Vision America Saddened by Russert Death
- Jun 15, 2008
Vision America is saddened by the passing of NBC newsman Tim Russert.
The host of “Meet The Press” for nearly 17 years, Russert (age 58) died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday as he was doing voice-overs for this Sunday’s show.
Vision America President Dr. Rick Scarborough commented: “Tim Russert had a well-deserved reputation for three things – doing his homework, asking hard-hitting questions and fairness. I don’t think a conservative can ask more than that from a member of the mainstream media.”
“While Russert was certainly no conservative, in interviews and moderating debates, his style was marked by balance. Everyone got tough questions,” Scarborough observed.
The Vision America head added, “We offer our condolences to the Russert family at their tragic loss, and will remember Tim Russert in our prayers.”
