VISION AMERICA REACTS TO MURDER OF GEORGE TILLER

Reacting to the murder of Dr. George Tiller, Vision America President Rick Scarborough said he was appalled by the crime. “Our hearts go out to his family and friends,’ said Scarborough, a Southern Baptist preacher.” “May they find comfort in their hour of grief.”
Scarborough declared, “We condemn this heinous crime in the strongest possible terms and hope the person responsible for Dr. Tiller’s death is brought to justice speedily.”
Tiller operated a controversial abortion facility and was one of the few physicians in the country to perform partial-birth abortions.
Scarborough added: “We oppose the deaths that take place inside clinics like that of Dr. Tiller. We do so legally, exercising our rights as Americans to peacefully protest, educate our fellow citizens and work for change to protect the unborn.”
“No one can call themselves pro-life if they condone violence to protect the unborn. With millions of activists and tens of thousands of pickets, marches, rallies and prayer vigils – the right-to-life movement has an unparalleled record of peaceful protest and lawful resistance.”
“We pray for George Tiller’s family – that they would find comfort through Jesus Christ and his inerrant Word, and we pray for an end to the horror of abortion,” Scarborough concluded.
