Values Voter Guide for Presidential Candidates
- Rick Scarborough
- Jan 25, 2008
Democrats seem to have narrowed their nominees to two and Republicans to four. McCain and Clinton are clearly the favorites to win their party's nomination heading into
The people of
Vision America Action hasn't endorsed a candidate and is legally precluded from doing so. Under the very restrictive McCain-Feingold law, what Vision America Action is permitted to do is to tell you about the positions of the candidates on important--no, VITAL--issues and policies. You as an individual must make up your own mind. As you make up your mind, you should be aware of the facts--and the truth--about the issues that will impact our nation for years--generations--to come. As I stated three months ago, "This is the primary season where little is much in terms of turnout, and now is the time for us to rally our people for our core values."
Another important aspect to remember as well: How long have each of these candidates held their positions on these core values? Is there an election year conversion? Or is it a lifelong, dedicated and consistent core value to them? You need to look at these candidates--and find out who is saying what they truly believe and who is saying what they think YOU want to hear right now, just before an election.
Here are core values that most Values Voters focus on:

LaHaye Tribute Vision
Thank you for your prayers and support of Vision
On that evening we are going to honor a couple that I view as Christian royalty, Dr. and Mrs. Tim LaHaye. I know of no two people in
Dr. LaHaye was among the founding members of the Advisory Board of Vision
Please support our efforts to mobilize pastors and Value Voters
We are working around the country to inform and mobilize pastors and Values Voters. This weekend I will be at the First Baptist Church of Moore, Oklahoma, for a 70 Weeks to Save America event. Over 15 churches are coming together to take a stand for righteousness in our nation. Prior to that event, I will be in Orlando, Florida, this Saturday, speaking out in support of traditional marriage and the absolute necessity of protecting it.
Will you please stand with us in this work? You can make a difference! A sustaining gift of even $10 or $25 per month would allow us to continue working across the country to serve you and your pastor. Would you prayerfully consider supporting us in 2008?
