Obama 'confused' on American principles

An expert on political history and constitutionalism says President Obama appears confused about what American principles mean for the United States' role in the world, and lacks clarity on how to defend those principles.
In an interview earlier this week with the British Broadcasting Corporation, the American president talked about democracy and the rule of law being universal principles, but on the other hand stated that the U.S. cannot impose its values "on another country with a different history and a different culture."
